Simone Biles

Simone Biles, a gymnast American, has won her 20th gold medal at the world championships when Team USA won their seventh world title, consecutively, at the Antwerp Belgium's World Championship on October 4. With 33 gold medals, she has the highest number of medals in gymnastics history. It includes the Olympics. Three days earlier Biles performed a challenging vault that nobody else had ever done on an international arena. The feat, formerly known in the form of Yurchenko Double Pike vault has been changed to Biles II. The record-breaking gymnast who is participating in her first international meet since 2021, will be competing in an all-around individual final on the evening of Oct. 6. Simone, born in Columbus Ohio in 1997 was removed from the house of her mother because of an addiction. Simone and her siblings were placed into foster care. Her maternal grandfather Air Force veteran Ron and his wife, a retired nurse Nellie were able to step in and take care of the children official adopting Simone when she was 6 and her younger sister Adria. Simone as well as her siblings were adopted by their maternal aunt.
